Norconsult has been working in Thailand for some 25 years within various fields. Today Norconsult’s presence is maintained by Norconsult Civil Engineering Co., Ltd (NCE) which was established in 1994 with 51% Thai and 49% Norwegian ownership.
From specialisation in bridge and highway design, NCE has expanded its field into designing buildings, factories, railway facilities, airport facilities etc. all over Thailand and into the neighbouring countries, whilst bridge design is still the main activity.
NCE staff consists of 35 persons, amongst them 14 engineers of which 5 have doctoral degree. Mr. Knut Nielsen has headed NCE as Managing Director from the time NCE was established.
NCE has during the years built up a unique reputation for excellent work and reliability that has led to more invitations for participation in projects than the company’s capacity can undertake. With the booming market of infrastructure projects in the Asia combined with intention of expanding into new areas, NCE is looking forward to a bright future by partaking in challenging projects in the years to come.
NCE’s excellent work to reasonable cost is not only appreciated in Asia. NCE is presently involved in European projects through its Norwegian owners and others as a way for high cost companies to increase their competitiveness in a difficult market.
NCE has recently moved to modern facilities in 32nd floor in RS-Tower at Rachadaphisek Road in Bangkok.
